The Cogden cottages are absolute sea view beach front family sized cottages all with outstanding views of the sea. Each cottage has 2 bedrooms, (mostly one double and one twin single), and sleeps 4. Cutter cottage is a little bigger and sleeps 5.The cottages are so close to the water you are almost in it, and we have a private beach. This former Coastguard Station has outstanding views of the world heritage coastline. Looking west you can see most of South Devon’s coastline and the lights of Lyme Regis twinkling at night. To the east you can look along the famous Chesil Beach towards Portland Bill.The cottages are well finished and are very well equipped. You can stay warm when gets a little chilly as every cottage has gas central heating and double-glazing. Also included freeview TV, free Wi-Fi, dishwasher, and washing dryer. There is no need to bring bed linen and towels as they are all supplied. The cottages are rated 3-4* by quality in tourism. Only a few yards away is the cottage’s private car park. We are also lucky enough to have a bus stop near the holiday park’s entrance. We are open all year round.
It is an ideal place for couples and families to enjoy walks along the south west coastal path that runs directly through our property and on our private beach. We accept pets in 2 of our cottages so your dog can enjoy the rural setting as well. The extensive population of rabbits tends to make the tail wag.
Weymouth and Lyme Regis are not far away, as well as numerous attractions, so there is plenty of other things to do when you get here. A wide range of cafes, pubs and restaurants are nearby. Indeed the award winning Hive Café is only a few minutes walk along the coastal path. So no need to worry about driving if you wish to enjoy a glass of wine.
Prices range from £450 -750 per week. Short breaks are available from the end of September to the middle of May at a cost of £85-£95 per night. There is no additional charges for utilities.
